Major Dog Food Brand Issues Recall Due to Small Metal Fragments
If you’re a dog owner, check the pet food you’ve bought from the store right now. Pedigree has announced a voluntarily recall of its Adult Complete Nutrition dry products. The major dog food company has detected small metal fragments inside the packages. Although these foreign objects are not embedded in the food itself, they still pose as threat to animals.
In the first statement released by the company, the affected products have been distributed in several Dollar General stores in Mississippi, Tennessee, Arkansas, and Louisiana. In addition, 55-pound bags sold in some Sam’s Club stores located in Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio are reported to be affected. Fortunately, no other Pedigree products are affected, and no injuries have been reported so far.
This is a serious issue that all pet owners should be made aware of. Although the recall involves only one kind of product distributed in a small geographic location, everyone who know read the news should spread the word to friends and family.
