Do You Believe In Magic? Someone Please Explain THIS! Even Simon Cowell Can’t Believe What Just Happened.
I remember the first time I saw a magician. It was on TV and I thought that it could easily be faked since there were so many dramatic camera angles of the magician and the crowd. I thought, of course he can just turn the camera off, pick the right card, turn the camera on to record his friends, then “reveal” the magic. I didn’t think it was real, and I thought the bystanders on the street were silly for believing it. Even magicians whose shows took up an entire hour on public television seemed fake to me. Making people “disappear” or escaping chains just wasn’t cool.
And then I saw this guy. He walked up on stage in slacks and a casual button-down with the sleeves rolled up. His shoes don’t even match and he’s holding money as his only prop. There’s no outrageous hat, no sparkling cape to wave around in the smoke machines, and certainly no glittery tuxedo. He’s just a dude who can apparently do amazing magic whenever he feels like it. No big deal.
So his first trick is pretty awesome. I can’t see how he’s done it. It’s all caught on video and there’s no smoke or mirrors or flashing lights to confuse us – and I still can’t figure it out. And then he moves on to blow everyone’s mind. Watch.
