Dry Ice…Bubbles?! I’ve Never Seen This Before! How Cool!
Dry ice is an amazing thing. It’s used for a lot of different things, and most commonly in theaters for that “special effect” when something dramatic or spooky is happening on stage. Dry ice is the solid form of carbon dioxide that has a lower temperature than water or regular ice, and it produces a thick white smoke when hit with warm water…but this guy decided to try and make BUBBLES out of the smoke! Who thinks of these things? Well, it’s time to see how this works – remember, safety is number 1 priority!
I’ve seen several of videos from this YouTube channel, and each one is just as funny as the last. He does “experiments” that seem a bit silly at some times, and genius at others. In this case, I’d rather watch this video of him trying to make smoke bubbles than actually go through all of that trouble for myself, but it is still an interesting experience.
I can’t see myself doing this with the kids, but we can watch this video and go outside to play with regular dish soap bubbles made from bent coat hangers instead! I love how the bubbles aren’t really affected by the smoke and continue to hold it in without it dissipating. Very cool!
