He Spends His Day Off Doing THIS On The City Streets. He’s Making A Difference One Person At A Time!
After battling a drug addiction, Nasir Sobhani aka ‘The Streets Barber’ knew that he needed to go to rehab to kick his destructive habit once and for all. He was born a nomad, living and studying all over the world as he grew up, and rehab was just another step on his journey. He received tattoos to document his progress, and reminds himself of how much he has overcome to be where he is today. With the help of his family and friends, he decided to pursue his passion of cutting hair and becoming a barber. The road is difficult and requires thousands of hours of practice, but that doesn’t stop him from wanting to perfect his craft.
During the week, he works for 6 days at a barbershop, but realizes that he needs much more practice to be at the level of his peers. On his day off, the 7th day of the week, he brings his barber kit onto the streets and gives out free haircuts to people who have no homes. These people are battling their own addictions, and Nasir gets personal and asks them about their journeys as he cuts their hair.
He calls his freelance practice “Clean Cut Clean Start” to symbolize the journey that his peers are on. I hope that he can make it to be the successful barber that he wants to be! He’s certainly practicing as much as possible.
