I Can’t Count How Many Times I Have Wished That THIS Would Have Happened To Me During Rush Hour! More People Should Do This!!
I’ll admit, whenever I hit that 5 o’clock (more like 3:30 – 7:00 where I live), I can get into a very crabby mood. It’s hot, I’m wasting gas, and a 15 minute trip is now going to take me over an hour due to accidents and blocked lanes, and I still have to get dinner ready once I get home. I asked one of the kids to take the chicken out of the freezer to thaw, but there is a 98% chance of “I forgot, sorry.”
We’ve all been there! We’re just ready to end our day and relax enough to prepare for tomorrow, but so is everyone else. At least that is what it feels like.
These kids decided to set out on a mission to make the traffic a bit more…enjoyable. It won’t take away the fact that everyone is creeping along at a snail’s pace, or the frustration when that one “super important” business guy zooms along the shoulder to the front of the line to wedge his way in front of everyone else, but it’ll make me smile for a second. And that one second of smiling is enough to get me through the 35 minutes I still have to sit in this traffic, and it will probably last up until I walk in the door and realize that yes, they did forget to take the chicken out of the freezer. We can’t win every battle, but we can at least add a little bit of fun to our days, no matter how small.
