Learn How To Make Bubble Tea At Home! It Looks So Delicious! Yum!

I’ve only ever seen signs advertising bubble tea in bigger cities, but hopefully more people will learn to love this fun way to drink tea! I like to think of it as the “fancy” version of tea. I have never really loved tea. In fact, the first time that I ever drank tea was at a tea party for one of my childhood friend’s 8th birthday. I was so excited! We all dressed up in our fanciest (and fluffiest) church dresses, wore little white gloves and large hats and sat around a miniature table that her mom had set up with her nicest dinnerware. There were cakes and pastries which we all nibbled on politely, and then her mother brought out the tea kettle.

It smelled like strawberries and some spice that I didn’t know how to categorize. She poured some into my dainty little tea cup and it was a light pink and smelled amazing. The other girls put in a cube of sugar and a splash of milk, so I did the same, having never had tea before. We all “cheered” to her birthday and took a sip. I don’t know what I was expecting, but my first thought was “this is just water that smells like strawberries.” I was so disappointed, but I tried my best to drink it all quickly so that I could nibble on some more cake.

To me, bubble tea is delicious and made me love tea again. I like a little bit of substance in my drinks, and the extra milk and tapioca really makes tea fun for me! Maybe one day I’ll wean myself into a regular cup of tea, but until then, I’ll enjoy this delicious creation with all of my heart!
