She Cuts Up An Old Sweater And Makes A Beanie AND Leg Warmers! A Perfect Way To Re-Use Old Sweaters!
I’m thinking about my winter wardrobe, and I can already name two or three sweaters that I absolutely hate. They were cute when I bought them, but over time the knit loosens, the fibers get fuzzy, and the items just kind of loses shape. This makes me feel like a stuffed marshmallow whenever I try to wear them. I already feel like a bundled turkey, why would I want to feel worse about my body during the winter? This is the perfect solution and it can be done so simply! Get the kids to help and make these easy beanies and leg warmers with almost no trouble at all!
I don’t have fabric glue, but I do own a sewing machine, and I feel pretty handy with it if I do say so myself! This is a wonderful way to re-purpose the kid’s old sweaters that they have grown out of, too. I bet I could find some cheap old sweaters at the thrift shop, too! I don’t think I have a maroon sweater that I’m willing to cut up, but I’d love a maroon beanie!
She makes this process look so simple. She didn’t even measure anything – she just “guestimated.” This is definitely my style of tutorial!
