These Singles Sit Down To Eat Lunch For One, But End Up On Blind Dates! Their Reactions Are So Funny!
Dining alone has always been awkward, but if you are on a long lunch break from work and don’t feel like going where your co-workers are going, you sometimes don’t have a choice! In most places, you can quietly sit at a bar or an area that faces the windows made for only one person, although sometimes you end up having to sit at a booth all by yourself. If you have a phone or a book, it isn’t always so bad, but it is much nicer to eat with someone else.
At this restaurant, they ask you if you are dining alone, and if you are, they seat you at a special booth made just for one. The walls are enclosed so it feels extra isolated. I personally would like that since I wouldn’t have to look at anyone else, but it seems that these people don’t want to eat alone. When a screen on the wall asks if they would like company, many of them press “yes.” If they have both pushed “yes,” the wall slides away and they are face to face with a stranger!
Some of them laugh, some of them try to make awkward conversation, and one guy takes full advantage of the situation by immediately asking to take a selfie and explaining, “I’m not trying to hit on you! Please give me your number.”
This is suck a cute idea! A few of these people have been to this restaurant before. If you press yes and so does another person, you both can eat for free! You will be a part of a television short, but hey, a free meal is a free meal!
