They Give Her RAW Fish And She Just Can’t Take It! These Kids Try Sushi For The First Time!
Sushi. You either love it or you hate it. There’s not really an “in-between” for most people (with the exception of my mom, who likes California Rolls and nothing else) because it has very unique flavors and textures that people in North America aren’t familiar with. Seaweed and raw fish can’t easily be found for most of the U.S. simply because there isn’t easy access to the ocean from the majority of the land. It has been steadily growing in popularity however, and even if you haven’t tried it, you have at least heard of it by now.
All of these kids knew that “sushi” was being put in front of them, but they hadn’t actually tasted most of the items and couldn’t identify what sort of “thing” was on top of their rice. They tasted all sorts of delicious things! Tuna, eel, mackerel, and even salmon eggs (my favorite!) landed on their plates, and even though they were afraid of what they were about to eat, each and every kid took a very brave bite out of the mysterious food!
This is exactly how I would expect a kid to react to eating a raw fish for the first time. My first experience with sushi was with a crowd of people, so I had to put on the bravest face ever and jump right in! It was a good thing that I liked it!
