This Incredible Rescue Was Caught On Film! More People Should See This Video!
Drowning looks a lot different than it does on TV. When someone is drowning, their body goes isn’t survival mode and all of their remaining energy is diverted into staying afloat. There is no energy left to wave their hands above the water or scream for help. There is certainly no energy left to start screaming “help, I’m drowning!” These lifeguards have been trained on exactly what to look for, and don’t rely on dramatizations from television to help them discern who is in immediate need of rescue and who is just playing around.
More people should be aware of the signs of drowning. Watching this footage twists my heart strings! What if this was my child out there in the waves, and I didn’t realize that they were drowning until it was too late? Sorry, kids! You’re going to need to wear floaties forever from now on…
It’s incredible how fast these lifeguards are. Not only can they spot a drowning civilian in just a few moments, they try to be out to the drowning person in under 30 seconds, battling waves and currents with their powerful strokes and trusty surfboards. This rescue ended on a happy ending, and this makes my feel good. I’m glad there are people out there dedicated to their jobs who will be on the lookout to save more and more lives!
