This Penguin Loves To Play! That Noise He Makes Is Just Too Cute!
Penguins are rather mysterious creatures. Although they are technically birds, they spend a great deal of time swimming around underwater as well. They aren’t able to fly, either. Instead, they use their featherless wings to glide and steer underneath the surface of the water. They fish and hunt and live in colonies of their own species, although sometimes they have been known to live side by side with other breeds of penguins. They really are fascinating!
Some penguins are born in zoos, living in small enclosures and never really having to deal with deadly predators or a lack of fish in their area. So what does a penguin get to do for fun? Well, aside from swimming and saying hi to all of the visitors in the zoo, these little flightless birds get to spend a lot of time with their zookeepers, too!
Cookie the penguin has a health issue with his foot that requires the bandage on his feet to be changed once a day. Because of this, he spends a good amount of time with his caretakers, and they have discovered that he loves this one strange thing…being tickled! While he mostly just waddles around and shakes his tail, sometimes he will go up to his favorite person and do…well, this! It looks like he loves to be tickled, and I can’t blame him! He sure is having fun!
