Watch What These Ants Do When They Get Near A Ringing Phone! My Poor Brain! Oh No!
The fear that our cellphones would somehow begin to mess with our brains and bodies over time has been around since cell phones were invented. Diagrams of bodies sprinkled with tumors are used to demonstrate what this type of effect might look like in 100 years, but no one really knows, and it may end up being that cell phones are actually harmless and all of the worry was for nothing. One thing that some people use as proof is the way that ants react to the vibrations and signals coming off of these devices. Their argument is that an ant’s antennae are very sensitive and that cell phones make them act…well, bizarrely.
In this video, this cell phone has been placed amid some wandering ants. When it receives a phone call, the ants are immediately confused and begin to wildly run in a circle with no more sense of direction. The video description claims it has to do with the electromagnetic waves, but I disagree.
This video looks fake to me because of the way the ants are running. Maybe it’s true, but I also can’t seem to find any studies about this phenomenon either…but I have seen “ant death circles,” in which a few ants become confused over which trail to follow and they all end up running in a circle until they run out of steam. Poor ants! What do you think about this video? Is it real, or are we poisoning our brains with the use of cell phones?
