What Happens When You Put 6,000 Matches In A Blender And Light Them All On Fire? Pure Awesome.
These guys have a camera that films in super slow motion and they sure do put it to good use! They decided to recreate something that they had seen on television, although on a slightly smaller scale. One afternoon, they sat down and decided to see what 6,000 match heads catching on fire would look like under their super slow motion cameras. I for one am glad that they tried this experiment.
When I was a kid, some friends and I wanted to see what would happen if we lit an entire box of matches on fire. We decided to do it in the woods. We cleared away all of the grass and leaves and dug a hole in the dirt for “safety.” We tied the matches together with a bit of random string and stuck them into the pit like a little tree. They lit up so quickly that we weren’t expected for the explosion of heat and light! It was one of those small boxes, but it was still a lot bigger than we thought it would be.
This video makes me realize that our little experiment was nothing compared to 6,000 full sized matches shoved into a tight space! The coolest part of this was the way they burst out like some kind of epic volcano! Science!
