The USAF Honor Guard Has Some Very Peculiar Training Methods. Can You Get Through This Video Without Laughing?! I Couldn’t!
These men and women are training to be a part of the Ceremonial Guardsman for the United States Air Force, and they take their jobs very seriously. They must be prepared during funerals and at all times to keep their emotions in check – this means no laughing or reacting to anything that might happen unexpectedly. The primary mission of these individuals is to perform the funeral honors for the fallen, and as you can imagine, these are very somber and serious times. It wouldn’t do for a guardsman to suddenly start giggling because he remember something funny that happened the night before.
They must maintain their composure to honor those around them…even when some of the craziest things start to happen! A few things that have happened according to one comment was a hurricane, presenting the flag to small children (no crying!), and presenting to the spouse of a fallen veteran who was dressed completely as a rodeo clown at the funeral. So what can these guys do to prepare?
Well, why not start with a rubber chicken? I would not be able to pass this test. The moment I saw that rubber chicken head in my peripheral vision, I would be out! Some people can control themselves…I, unfortunately, could not make it through this video without laughing!
What do you think of their methods? Are a bit over-the-top or are they just right? Like and share this to brighten someone’s day!
