Radio show hosts have started to do anything for higher ratings. From bawdy talk shows, pranks, and charity events, these outgoing people know no boundaries. We’ve heard them ruin marriages, bring strangers together after awkward first dates, and surprise kids with tickets to see their favorite artists. They cover a wide range of emotions for that “shock value” and when they do something that changes someone’s life for the better, I respect them just a teeny bit more.
This particular segment focused on a single mother who owned her own business. She spends 10 or more hours per day trying to keep it afloat, but with her son’s medical bills piling up and her own battle with cancer, there just isn’t time to slow down and spend any real time with her 4 children. When an angry customer comes in to tell her that the cupcakes she sold them were “dry” and tasted “soapy,” she told them that she could do anything they wanted. This showed that her true nature was honest and kind. She even offered to refund the purchase; something she couldn’t afford to do.
